WeaaH founder, composer, and bandleader, Paul is from New York state in the U.S., and was a Chicago based musician for many years. Paul has shared stages with well known artists such as Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Larry Coryell, Martha Reeves, Jerry Butler (the Impressions), Grammy nominated Angel Melendez and the 911 Mambo Orchestra, and played in venues such as the Chicago Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz festival, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival, VH1, and many more.

Ian Rijksen, drummer and vocalist, is from Utrecht, the Netherlands. He attended the music conservatory in Hilversum, and received his degree from the jazz department in 1998. Ian has played in many commercial projects since 1995. Some of the Dutch funkateers he has worked with include Bas Bron ( De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig), and hiphop star Brainpower. He also sings and drums with the Electric Space Cowboys, and Velvet Tuesday. He also teaches drums and coaches at St. Eiwerk, an institution for the mentally disabled, and at the Muziekpakhuis in Amsterdam.

Singer, composer, poet, and studio musician Inomarly, has a beautiful, expressive body of work combining meaningful content with soaring vocals. Born in Nakuru, Kenya, she is currently based in Amsterdam. Some of the current projects she is working with are Innersoul, RBD (Benny Wout), and Charli Green. She is also a backround vocal studio musician, and performs original poetry at various venues in the Netherlands.

Thanos was born in 1975 in Thesaloniki, Greece, and has lived in Holland since 2001. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, where he obtained a bachelor's and master's diploma in jazz saxophone. He teaches the saxophone in the American School of the Hague and in Dordtse music school. He also travels to give workshops in Spain, Greece, France and Holland. He has performed with a variety of diverse projects in clubs and festivals all around Europe. With the band Athanasopoulos-Pin quartet he has recorded 2 cds with his own compositions and took part in numerous recordings as a sideman. Thanos is also a published author, and for many years a blogger with essays, jokes, and commentary with a very large following.

WeaaH was very happy to add Charli Green to our line up in 2017! Charli Green grew up in Memphis, Tenessee, and Chicago, Illinois, USA. Charli settled in the Netherlands some years ago. He is not only one of the Netherlands premiere trumpet players, but his skills also span composing, arranging, conducting, teaching, and all this in many genres of music. His initial playing experience included some of the top ensembles in the U.S. Air Force, and went on to include being a section player and soloist with orchestras such as: Limburgs Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Haarlem, and the Netherlands Radio and Television Orchestra. Other performing and recording experience includes: Teddy Edwards big band, Shirley Bassey, Klaus Lens, Willy Schobben, Art Taylor, Dexter Gordon, Hampton Hawes, Ben Webster, Billy Brooks, Lou Bennett, Fra Fra Sound, and many more. Charli Green has also taught trumpet, improvisation, and ensembles in the music conservatories of Amsterdam and Eindhoven. He is also the leader, composer, arranger of the Charli Green big band.

Sebastiaan was born in Amsterdam. Sebastiaan has performed in various venues, festivals and radio/television shows around Europe and has shared the stage with, among others, Yuri Honing, Saskia Laroo and Karsu Donmez. His experience in various bands, his studies at the world renowned conservatory of Amsterdam and his passion for a wide range of music shaped him into a versatile guitar player with an eclectic and soulful sound.

Davey Norket has many years of experience in many facets of music. Davey was born in NorthCarolina in the USA, and worked as a composer/performer/keyboardplayer/bandleader. This included 35 years with Jango Edwards.

His playing spans many genres playing with a great variety of groups in well known venues all over Europe.

"Paul Mundy asked if I would like to play keyboards with his (funky horn band) WeaaH,…and my response was

“I’m in,”…and that was that."

Originally from New Zealand, Oliver graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with a Masters in music in 2014.

He is now playing in several bands around Europe including Molino, Bannerman, MetroMara, The BVR Flamenco big band and Oh Thunder.

At the age of 14 Nikos Skaropoulos picked up by accident the bass in his native Thessaloniki, Greece. He's been infected by the low-end bug ever since. He laid down the groove for several bands in Greece and in the Netherlands. When Paul asked him to join Weaah, a WEaaH mantra echoed in his mind:

“Lock it in the pocket, groove me,

Lock it in the pocket, groove me…”
